About Me
Hailing from the beautiful city of San Antonio, Texas, Rob Wilburn, born in Bethesda, Maryland, is a prolific medical device sales executive who has carved a unique niche in digital healthcare devices and surgical telepresence. Currently at the helm as the CEO and Co-founder, Rob’s storied journey from the sales floor to leading a pioneering healthcare tech firm is an inspirational narrative of passion, persistence, and innovation.
Rob’s roots can be traced back to Odessa, Texas, where he completed his graduation from Permian High School, famous as the basis for the book “Friday Night Lights.” His fascination with cars and penchant for detail was nurtured since childhood, as he spent countless hours working on vehicles with his father—a college professor—and brother. His mother, an ER/ICU nurse, instilled in him the value of service and care. With a wealthy Texan upbringing, Rob’s life was always brimming with diverse church activities and bonding moments over car engines and automotive tools.
Rob moved on to major in Industrial Distribution from the renowned Texas A&M University. These years weren’t just about academics for him; he showed an equal zeal in extracurricular activities, where he was part of the waterski team and a member of the Aggie Wranglers Country Western Dance Team. During this period, he met his wife, and they continued to be a pillar of support for each other since their marriage on September 6, 1997. Together, they have raised two extraordinarily talented children — a future nurse pursuing her degree at Liberty University in Virginia and a commercial pilot graduate from the same institution.
